The JIG HSSE Management System Standard describes the minimum expectations with which HSSE systems shall be managed. Entities that operate to the JIG Standards are expected to meet at least the requirements of the JIG HSSEMS and any applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, or accepted standards in the absence of legislative and regulatory standards.
The HSSE MS is an integral part of the JIG Operating Standards.
All locations operating to the JIG 1, JIG 2 are required to meet the requirements of the JIG HSSE MS.
This also applies to sites operating to the EI/JIG1530 Standard who also participate in the JIG Inspection Programme.
